Communications Contest

National Federation of Press Women annual Communications Contest

The 2022 Communications Contest is open for entries for work published/created in 2021. See this page in the NFPW website for all the information. Arizona members will participate in the “at-large” contest as we do not currently have our own contest. See the At-Large page for information and to enter.

Each year, NFPW holds a communications contest. The contest generally opens in October for work published that year and closes the end of January. APW members enter the “at-large” contest. Once dates are announced, they will be posted here. Check also at NFPW.org starting in October.

You can receive professional recognition for your work, whether it’s for newspapers, magazines or online publications; editing and page design; photography and graphics; radio and TV; web and social media; advertising; public relations and marketing; books; or other communication such as speeches.

In addition, the professionals who judge your work will give you feedback on what they liked about your work and tips on how you can make it better.

APW does not currently have its own contest and, instead, participates in the “at-large” contest.
