Rim Country Meeting October 9, 2019
Arizona Professional Writers Rim Country Chapter will host Marsha Ward, renowned Historical Fiction Writer at 1:00 p.m. October 9, 2019 at the Majestic Rim Retirement Home, Tyler Parkway Payson.
Marsha, an award-winning poet, freelance writer, journalist, editor, and novelist has over 900 pieces of published work, including her acclaimed novel series, The Owen Family Saga, and other works of fiction.
She will share how she researches her Old West themes.

Learn how to write and sell non-fiction
Whether a beginning writer or experienced author, learn how to boost your income by writing non-fiction at a free program presented by the Rim Country Chapter of Arizona Professional Writers on Sept. 20, 2017. Beginning at 1 p.m., the program will take place at Majestic Rim Retirement Living, 310 East Tyler Parkway, Payson.
“Writing Non-Fiction that Sells” is the topic of speaker Carol Osman Brown, local journalist and author whose award-winning articles and photos have appeared in many national magazines and newspapers. These include Arizona Highways, Native Peoples, Sunset Magazine, The Arizona Republic, Horse & Rider, and Yachting. She taught non-fiction writing courses at SU’s Walter Cronkite School of Mass Communications, Rio Salado College and was on the faculty of the noted Reader’s Digest Writers Workshops.
