Rim Country May 20 meeting
Rim Country District will have a special guest speaker for the meeting this month, scheduled for May 20, at noon in the community room of the Payson Public Library.
Freelance writers have discovered a growing market for health and medical articles. Authors who write fiction, may have their characters grapple with illness or accidents that require emergency medical attention. All writers should find good research sources in order to present accurate information about health and medical topics. We also may need more information as consumers too. How prepared are you for an unexpected trip to the ER?
“Debunking Medical Media Myths –What to Expect in the ER” is the topic of Becky Nissila, the new Director of Emergency Services, Payson Regional Medical Center (PRMC). She has extensive experience with ER departments and other clinical operations in acute care hospitals. In addition to being an RN for 25 years, she earned a B.S. in Health Science as well as an MBA. She worked at PRMC previously and has recently returned to her Payson home after an assignment in the San Francisco Bay area. Nissila will provide some medical research tips, an insiders view of emergency medicine and how patients can better navigate the medical system.
Feel free to bring guests.
